Ruins of Panama Viejo
Just 3.2 miles (5.2 km) from the capital, you can visit the ruins of the first city founded by the Spanish in the Pacific, declared a World Heritage Site. The Cathedral Tower, the King’s Bridge and the Slaughterhouse Bridge are some of the highlights, along with the Panama Viejo Museum and the ruins of San Juan de Dios, San Francisco, La Merced and other convents.
